I stand corrected.
There is a movie based on the life of an auditor/accountant/tax agent (yes these jobs are distinctively different; as different as a quantity surveyor and an engineer or a doctor and a pharmacist or a lawyer and a magistrate). Look up for Stranger Than Fiction (aptly named). It's a movie about a tax auditor (seeing those two words alone is enough to suck the fun out of the room you're in while reading this) who happens to be a character in a book that is being written. Whatever the author writes, happens to the person (I dare not repeat his job), and whatever happens to the person, to a certain extent, influences the way the author writes.
Now that I've found a movie based on the life of an auditor/accountant/tax agent, all we need to do now is to find a TV series.

i haven't watched it but from the summaries that I've read, it sounds more like an auditor's fantasy.
