Believe it or not (most probably not), I actually miss France. Why?

1. I miss the public transport. You can go to every nook and corner of the country without having to drive on your own.

2. I miss the intelligent debate by their public figures

3. I miss rushing myself to class everyday so that I can grab a copy of 20 minutes at the metro station so that I can do the crossword puzzle

4. I miss eating that frozen pizza where the dough actually rises like bread when you heat it in an oven

5. I miss queuing up for more than 30 minutes but end up only buying 1 kg of chicken breast and 250g of minced meat.

6. I miss getting sick of eating kebab too often

7. I miss Colmar

8. I miss the time when we used to stay up late playing cards or board games

9. I miss treating myself to a tub of Ben & Jerry's or Haagen-Dazs after every exam

10. I miss the feeling of triumph every time I actually beat a French student at exams

11. I miss the strikes

12. I miss speaking French as if it's my mother tongue and not just to impress people

13. I miss impressing people by speaking English

14. I miss insulting people freely on the bus or metro in Malay

15. I miss my Fnac and Furet du Nord

16. I miss planning my next holiday trip.

18. I miss Chocolat Gourmandise from Paul's, and any freshly baked croissants

19. I miss TV programmes like A prendre ou a laisser, 60 minutes, 7 a 8, Attention a la marche, les Guignols and Telematin

20. I miss the 8 o'clock news

21. I miss the convenience of using my bank card for almost everything

22. I miss my sparkling water Badoit and Lisbeth

23. I miss the Internet connection speed

24. I miss my friends

25. I miss my carefree life.
