If there's one thing that Form 4 Physics taught me, it was Work. Work is a product of Force and Distance.
In other words, going to work is to force you bum to travel the distance to your workplace.
***
Like it or not, the Earth is an island and Humankind is a family on that island.
Sooner or later you'll bump into someone, thinking he's a stranger, but actually is connected to you on a multitude of levels.
And a wedding is the best place to get bumped at.
For example, after yesterday's wedding, we have established that:
My sister in law's brother's parents in law's neighbour was my mother's work colleague and her husband is my father's friend.
My sister in law's brother's father in law is my uncle's work colleague.
My cousin's neighbour is my other sister in law's cousin (this fact was established at my first brother's wedding)
My cousins' first cousin once removed is one of my good friend in school.
My neighbour, who is also my add maths tution teacher, is also my friend's add maths tuition teacher. Normal huh? Well what if I say, that he is also my friend's father's add math tuition teacher when they were living in Kelantan. And the father is also my father's friend. And this friend is going out with someone who is also a friend of mine, both of whom I got to know at different times and locations. (These facts I established some times ago, but only filed in with my family recently).
But I think the ultimate discovery was this:
I have a friend, who did not attend the wedding, has a brother, who is also my friend, who attended the wedding. The elder brother of those two friends, is the fiance of my sister in law's friend, also attended the wedding, at a separate moment.
Wait it get's more complicated.
The first said friend, is engaged. Her fiance's mother is my mother's best friend in University. Her husband is my father's friend. And my father knew most of the fiance's father's sibling, one of which owns a restaurants where we sometimes go for our Saturday evenings dinner. My friend's fiance's brother is currently working in that Firm, where I used to slave, I mean work. And, the friend that my other friend is going out with as mentioned in the example before this one, has a crush on one of brothers of the person to whom this friend of mine is engaged.
It really is a small world after all.
