Have you stopped, and smelled the roses lately?
Don't give the lame excuse that you're too busy.
With you it's always the same: work, career and money
But are those really what make you truly happy?
When was the last that you look at the sky?
Enjoying the shades of red and blue, only to ask why?
Or watch the shapes of the clouds as they pass by,
And snort a giggle when one resembles a fungi?
Do you even remember the sound of their laughter,
when you tell a joke to your parents, sister or brother?
When they give you a call, do you pick up and answer?
Or are you just too busy now to even bother?
Did you look out the window to see the beautiful sunset?
Did you gazed out your car to enjoy the sweet moonlight?
Or were you too engrossed with work, just to pay your debt?
Or were you all tied up, and locked up in office all night?
You bust your derriere only to get a decent pay
That won't lead you to a decent life, not this way
With this I ask you, even urge, I must say
Stop what you're doing, and go smell the roses today!
Second attempt to a rose poem. First attempt here
