Alamak, melepaslah aku nak merasa jadi pelakon drama.

Those were the words that my father keep on saying to us 4 boys when we were younger. Basically he's just saying that all he can do is provide us with everything we need to become a person, but at the end of the day we have to decide ourselves what kind of a person we want to be.

Decision making only happens when we are presented with choices. If Subway only sells Turkey Ham & Turkey Breast, then I would never have to make a choice between that or Chicken Teriyaki or Chicken Pizzaiola or Steak & Cheese or Meatball Marinara or ... (you get the picture).

And that is a good thing because as humans, we always want to have choices. You wouldn't want to drive the same car, wearing the same clothings, eating the same food with everyone else everyday (mesti la nak up sikit, kurang-kurang pun dari orang sebelah). It's easy to make our choices when the pros and cons are apparent. It's also easy to choose when you have the slightest vague idea about the outcome. But some things have no obvious pros and cons, and you just don't know what your choice will lead you to.

It's in situations like these, no matter how confident and sure you are of yourself, no matter even if you have every single turn and corner planned in your life, deep down inside, you'd wish that there's someone out there to make the decision for you.

If only life were a game of coin toss.
