Lost Objects Report
Item lost: A pair of slippers
Description: Size 9, Electric blue with grey lining and bright orange pattern
Date lost: Somewhere in 2003
Last seen location: Surau al-Ikhwan
My report:
I was at the surau for my Zohor prayers. As shoes/sandals/slippers stealing was rampant, I have decided to keep my slippers far from the main entrance. Instead, I placed them behind the wall facing the girls' dining hall, believing that they would be safe from prying eyes.
After calling the azan, people started to come into the surau and the prayers began. During the prayer, a commotion could be heard outside the surau near the girls' dining hall. A female voice shouted 'Tunggu aku!', while further away, laughter from a group of girls could be heard.
After the prayers, I innocently exited the surau and went straight to the corner where I've placed my slippers only to find that they were missing. After looking in every nook and corner, while cursing under my breath that the person responsible for this mischievous crime would be punished severely; a broken hip and nothing less, I came to a conclusion that my slippers have been snatched.
Bearing the embarrassment of walking barefooted, I walked back to my dorm and hastily prepared myself for preparatory class later that afternoon. Having no other options, I slipped on my sports shoes to class. Not wanting to give up, and knowing that no body with a right mind would wear slippers with colours as striking as my slippers, I asked the other male students in my class if they've seen them, but to no avail. Not losing hope, I also asked my female colleagues, but it was a let down.
A girl even asked me why did I have my sports shoes on. In an attempt to save myself from further embarrassment I replied coolly 'Aku nak pergi jogging terus lepas ni'. And to substantiate my statement I even turned to one of the guys and said 'Jaga kau Rizal, lepas ni aku lagi kurus dari kau'.
However, something caught my attention when I entered the classroom. Most of the girls were sneering throughout the preparatory session. Which raised my alarm and made me think that one of them might be the suspect.
Suspects:

I declare that this report is true and was not done under duress
