Like, when most people have a favourite singer and loves all of his songs no matter how crap they are, I prefer to listen to any song that sounds good and has meaningful lyrics, which is not at all a weird thing because a lot of people also listen to songs that sound good to their ears without having any particular favourite singer, or genre.
But what is weird is that, for me, it goes the other way round when it comes to books. Most people would read books only when they receive good reviews or when that particular book is the 'in' thing to read. As for me, once I'm hooked to the style of writing of a particular writer, I just have to read all of his or her books, no matter how crap any of them is (for example I personally believe that the Chamber of Secrets is the worst book Ms Rowling has ever written).
I guess what I'm trying to put forward here is to justify the fact that I bought two books that no man would ever buy without feeling a little bit emasculated, when I went to the MPH warehouse sale yesterday. See books below:
At the risk of mocking the old saying to never judge a book by its cover; Don't judge me by the books that I bought at a very cheap, only-20-ringgit-for-a-brand-new-book warehouse sale.

wah mr hakimi reads kinsella! Getting in touch with your feminine side or trying to satisfy it?
Perhaps you could enlighten me on how such books can garner such popularity and acclaim among its readers. Or is it just the female and gay ones? Not insinuating anything here, I would never for a moment question your masculinity!
As a side rant, you know how girls complain about the quality of men nowadays? How they're uncultured, inarticulate and unscrubbed? You know what girls? Why don't you put down your shopaholics and pickup some Steinbeck first before talking about sophistication? Geram aku !
Or is it just the female and gay ones?
2 books and I'm labelled for life? Why is it so hard for people to accept those who decide to read outside the box?
That just shows how small your box is.
And on your rantings,
First of all, Steinback? Of all the million authors, Steinback? Why?
Secondly, a lot of women look for men who would only exist when pigs could fly. And sadly they always end up with men who are pigs. And these men give other cultured, articulate, scrubbed men such a bad name.
