Of subsidies and privileges

I've not been doing anything since I got back. The most exciting thing that happened so far was the hunt for working shoes yesterday (although I am yet to find one that suites me). But that did not stop my heart from beating extra fast during this last few days. The closer I got to Monday, the faster it beats. I just couldn't see myself working. Especially working on the 35th floor. I might need a towel to wipe my sweaty hands next week.

Life as a student has its privileges. For example, the dialogue would usually go like this:

Me: Pak, tadi isi minyak kereta 50 ringgit.
Bapak: Ok. Esok ganti.

And I would find a 50 ringgit note the next morning in the key basket.

But now, no longer having that student status (at least at home), I find myself in this situation:

Me: Pak, tadi isi minyak kereta 50 ringgit.
Bapak: Baguslah.
Me: Baguslah je? (aku berbisik di dalam hati)

So I guess I have to watch the way I spend my money since I no longer enjoy my monthly allowances, nor any subsidies from my father. My cashflow will be in the red until I start working with Petronas or with an accounting firm. Habis, macam mana nak berfoya-foya?
