I have principals

There are a few ways for you to translate the subject of Prinsip Akaun in English.
Either Accounting Principles
or Principles of Accounting.

But definitely not Accounting Principals.

This is what happens when you've been spelling in French for too long. I was filling up my application form for a work placement in an accounting firm. I was required to list my SPM results on my own, ie. I have to type in the name of the subjects and the grades on my own. Somehow, either I was feeling a little wee bit cocky or I was distracted by the movie on TV, I submitted my application form without double checking my entries.

Then, when I was filling up another form for another firm, I had to fill in my SPM grades and the subjects have all been translated into English. I turned white when I saw the word Principle for Principles of Accounting. Alamak, did I put Accounting Principles or Principals? I was 99.125% sure that I typed principal.

Agak-agaknya, will the person in charge of preselecting the applications notice of such mistake? Dah lah, he or she would have never heard of my university or even worse never heard anyone with a sound mind doing accounting in France, ada misspelling pulak.

Tidaaaaak!
